A rare Conjunction
between the Moon, Venus and Jupiter
NASA has captured images of the Conjunction between the Moon, Venus and Jupiter. This rare celestial event occurred on the start of February 2023.
At the start of February 2023, Venus and Jupiter were about 29 degrees, but on March 1, they will come extremely close to each other, separating by just 0.52 degree in rare event.
During this conjunction, the Moon, Venus and Jupiter appeared very close together in the sky, creating a stunning visual spectacle. NASA’s satellite and spacecraft were able to capture images of this event, which have been widely shared and admired by people around the world.
The Conjunction between the Moon, Venus and Jupiter were caused by their relative positions in the Solar system. Although these three celestial objects are actually millions of miles apart from each other, they appeared to be in close proximity when viewed from the Earth. This is because the Moon, Venus and Jupiter were aligned along the same plane, creating the illusion of a celestial meeting.
Conjunction between celestial objects are relatively common, but the particular alignment of the Moon, Venus and Jupiter from the start of February 2023, made this event particularly memorable.
